Great study room with computers, table, sofa, and printer. Level 2 has a large screen TV room. Room has a small sink and mirror. Excellent location, no outside noise. Fantastic place to meet people with nightly events. Staff respectful of those sleeping. Value for money. Sunday parties are popular. Great location, clean rooms and bathrooms. Helpful staff. We loved the perfect location, right in the heart of the city. It was convenient to have the main attraction within walking distance and several great bars/pubs with delicious food and drinks nearby. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to accommodate our needs. They even allowed us to check in earlier than expected, which was a fantastic bonus. The hotel facilities were great, with comfortable beds and clean rooms. The staff did a great job of keeping the rooms and kitchen clean, and were even doing a massive cleaning of the fridges when we arrived, giving us plenty of space for our food. The pool was a nice addition, and we enjoyed relaxing on the poolside beds. The bathrooms were clean, and the free breakfast offered a good variety of options.

I had a fantastic stay at this hostel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, creating a nice atmosphere for all the backpackers. The cleanliness of the rooms and the common areas was excellent, and the hostel facilities, such as the air conditioning, fridge, TV. The location of the hostel was perfect, with easy access to clubs and nightlife across the street. The free breakfast provided a variety of options including bread, jam, fruits, juice, coffee.

Uncomfortable room with noise from pool and lack of privacy due to curtains that didn't close. Issues with cleanliness and maintenance in the female bathroom.

We booked a private twin room for 6 nights. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the action. Next to a Coles and 2 min from a Woolworths. The outside area is really nice with a pool and bar. WiFi was unlimited and free. It didn't work in our room, but in the pool area it worked perfectly.

The location of the backpackers was convenient, with easy access to nearby shops and attractions. Additionally, the hostel had a sociable atmosphere, making it a good choice for solo travelers. The common areas provided plenty of space to meet and socialize with other guests.

There were some issues with the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Toilet paper was often lacking in some cubicles and showers were frequently dirty and poorly maintained.

I recently stayed at Youth Shack Backpackers for a week while visiting Darwin. The study room on level 3 was a great asset for me, with computers, a table, a sofa. The room was also equipped with air conditioning, making it a comfortable space to do my business and study work. Another highlight was the massive screen TV room on level 2, which was a cool hangout spot. I also appreciated the small sink and mirror in the corner of my room. The location of the hostel was excellent, with no outside noise disturbing my stay.

Fantastic nightly events, respectful staff, value for money, great location, comfortable beds.

It was all superb.

Liked the convenient location, with Woolies and Coles nearby. The pool and loungers were a nice addition. The fact that there were curtains across the beds provided some privacy.

Disliked the excessive noise, especially from the bar downstairs and the street below. The Wi-Fi was limited and didn't reach the TV room.

I recently stayed at Youth Shack Backpackers for a few weeks and had a fantastic experience. The location was incredibly convenient, with supermarkets, the waterfront, restaurants, and cafes all within walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing great recommendations for things to do. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and I felt secure with the door locked at night. Plus, the free breakfast in the morning was a nice bonus.
